Shannon Grace - CEO & Founder
 
Shannon started creating book sleeves and selling them on Etsy in 2019. After unexpected growth, she rebranded and created her own website and changed the name from Bookish Shan to Grace by Shan. Besides Grace by Shan, she is working on her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is passionate about educating others on mental health. Shannon is also an avid runner, reader, and dog lover. When she's not working, you can find her traveling either in real life or through a book. 
 

Rylee Tanner - Marketing Manager

Rylee joined Grace by Shan in June 2021 and has grown our social media platforms into what they are today. 

She is originally from Columbus, OH, and is making a big move to Raleigh, NC really soon! She's working through my BS in Public Relations and absolutely loving it. In Rylee's free time, she like to teach myself web development, sit outside and read, hang out with her boyfriend and their cat, or try all of the local coffee shops and breweries. She might be slightly obsessed with books, coffee, and craft beer! 
Fun Facts About Rylee:
  • She's never been out of the country
  • One year her and her friend went to fireworks shows 6 nights in a row for the 4th of July
  • Her very first time on a plane, she jumped out of it

 Rylee said that she is "so excited to be working for such an amazing company and with such a wonderful person, and I can't wait to watch both of them grow" and we are excited to have her! 

 

Brittany Sokoloski - Accounting Assistant

Brittany joined Grace by Shan in June 2021 and has done the back end work of finances and taxes. Without Brittany, Grace by Shan wouldn't be able to share other handmade bookish items with you. She currently lives in Virginia but is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She is married to her husband of 9 years, with  three children, ages 10, 8, and 5. She is a full-time wife, military spouse, recent Master's graduate, and stay-at-home mom. Brittany put her career on hold for the time being due to her daughter's recent diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. She is enjoying the much-needed quality time with her family and spends most of her days entertaining her kids, going to the beach, and reading. She enjoys reading historical fiction, psychological thrillers, self-help, romance, and anything else that catches her eye.

 

Allison Ataman - Illustrator

 

Allison joined the Grace by Shan team in late July 2021 with an Illustrator role. Her goal is to create beautiful illustrations for the company that suits the needs of our customers. 

Allison graduated with her MBA in Information Technology Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in May 2021. She is always striving to further educate herself and work harder today than the day she did before. She loves all things Disney, and in her spare time enjoys spending time with friends, painting, and talking to her dog Loki (a.k.a the Dog of Mischief).
Allison said that she is thrilled to be working with a company like Grace by Shan, and is tremendously blessed to be given an opportunity to illustrate and work with such a great team, and is excited to see what the future holds.

 

Lachlan Shiver - Product Creator


Lachlan joined the Grace by Shan team in March of 2022 and works as one of our product creators. He currently lives in Tampa, Florida and attends the USF College of Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys running and writing narrative medicine pieces. He helped establish his medical school's online newspaper and enjoys reading nonfiction pieces. He is very excited to be joining the team!

Tami Davis - Product Creator

Tami joined the Grace by Shan team in April of 2022. She helps us continue to create handmade book sleeves and has shown to be a ray of sunshine on our team. She currently resides in South West Florida and has a dog named Newt (after Newt Scamander himself).
